The final year degree students numbering 16 from the Department of Political Science, Mount Tiyi College, Wokha along with Assistant Professors, Chanchithung Kithan and Neiphinuo Zatsu visited the Deputy Commissioner’s Office, Wokha on 5th April, 2022, and had an interactive session with Deputy Commissioner, Shri Orenthung Lotha (NCS) Wokha, Nagaland, on the functioning of District Administration. The prime objective for the visit was to empower the 6th semester Political Science students with experiential learning on administrative functioning with expert inputs from the district administrator himself. The Deputy Commissioner enlightened the students on administrative hierarchy and also expounded on how the district administration handles different circumstances. Furthermore, he spoke on the functioning of rural administration, town and Municipal Council. In addition, Deputy Commissioner also shared his experiences and the challenges faced during the global pandemic as an administrator.
