One day career guidance seminar on the theme “Curating Hobbies into Dreams” was organised for the students of Mount Tiyi College, Wokha on the 23th of Feb 2022 with Lolo Ezung, a Content Creator and Jimmy Lotha, freelance Photographer and Videographer, as Resource Persons. Lolo Ezung spoke of her career in content creation and also highlighted on the struggles and obstacles one has to deal with in pursuing a non-conventional career, especially in the traditional Naga society where govt. jobs are preferred and favoured over any other. However, she encouraged the students to explore both conventional and non-conventional career choices and be resilient enough to pursue one’s dream. Jimmy Lotha, who also runs a Youtube channel called The Red Journey, gave a perspicuous presentation on the importance of networking and marketing in a society that is thronged by different businesses. The seminar was attended by students of all the three semesters and the teaching faculty of Mount Tiyi College.
